UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team. The role requires scrubbing for cases across multiple service lines, preparing the OR, and supporting the surgical team with equipment and supplies.

The position emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols, with on-call scheduling and a potential signing bonus. BLS certification and ongoing education are required.

Qualifications

• Certified surgical technologist with more than one year of experience.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification every two years.
• Subspecialty proficiency across operating room procedures and sterile technique.

Responsabilités

• Scrub for cases in assigned service area and assist operative team.
• Prepare operating room; set up back table and Mayo tray with instruments.
• Assist with instrument counts, labeling medications, and maintaining specimen integrity.
• Mentor new staff and precept colleagues as requested.
• Maintain department cleanliness and participate in quality improvement.
