Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the ACC 21 OR-Day Shift. The role involves scrubbing on all surgical procedures under RN supervision and assisting physicians in procedural areas.

Responsibilities include preparing supplies, assisting as secondary circulator, and reporting events promptly. On-call coverage may be required. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, BLS, NBSTSA-accredited program completion, and certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room and assist the physician.
• Assist as a secondary circulator.
• Anticipate and gather needed supplies and equipment before care.
• Report unexpected events and outcomes to RN staff/leadership in a timely fashion.
• Provide on-call coverage where applicable.
