Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York, NY seeks a Surgical Technologist to scrub on all procedures in the ACC 21 OR during the Day Shift (37.5 hours). Under the direction of a licensed nurse, you will assist the physician and support the surgical team. The role requires graduation from an NBSTSA-accredited program, BLS certification, and current certification upon hire.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS (American Heart Association) required.
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room and assist the physician.
• Operate under the direction of a licensed nurse and assist as a secondary circulator.
• Prepare and gather instruments and supplies based on the procedure card.
• Report unexpected events to RN staff promptly.
• On‑call coverage may be required.
