Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York is seeking a Surgical Technologist for ACC 21 OR-Day Shift (37.5 Hours). Under the direction of a licensed professional nurse you will scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room and assist the physician in procedural areas.

Responsibilities include preparing supplies, instruments, and equipment, working as a secondary circulator, and ensuring aseptic technique. You will participate in safety, quality improvement, and collaborative team care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required for admission.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification required upon hire and BLS certification.
• Experience preferred in a large, complex Operating Room environment.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the OR and assist the physician.
• Prepare supplies and equipment based on procedure needs and card preferences.
• Assist as a secondary circulator under the RN Circulator’s supervision.
• Maintain instrument care, aseptic technique, and report events promptly.
• Participate in quality, safety, and performance improvement activities.

NBSTSA Surgical Technologist program graduate

Certification upon hire

BLS (American Heart Association)
