NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in NYU Langone Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist Orthopedics - Evenings (12pm-10pm) to scrub on all procedures in the OR under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist physicians and prepare instruments and supplies for each case.

Ideal candidates hold BLS, NBSTSA certification, and have completed an accredited Surgical Technologist program, with preference for NYU Langone experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• NBSTSA certification required upon hire.
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.

Responsabilités

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room under the direction of a licensed professional nurse.
• Assist the physician in procedural areas.
• Anticipate and gather needed supplies and equipment prior to procedures.
• Maintain instrument care and aseptic technique.
• Provide on-call coverage where applicable.
