Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the K5 OR on the Evening Shift (37.5 hours). Under the direction of a licensed professional nurse, scrub on all procedures in the Operating Room and assist the physician in procedural areas.

The role requires graduation from an NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program with certification upon hire, BLS, and strong teamwork skills. Excellent patient care and adherence to OR standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the OR and assist the physician.
• Prepare and arrange supplies and equipment per procedure card.
• Assist as secondary circulator under RN supervision.
• Report unexpected events and maintain aseptic technique in the surgical field.
• Participate in on-call coverage where applicable.
