Job summary
NYU Langone Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the evening shift to assist in the Operating Room. The ideal candidate has relevant certifications, can scrub on surgical procedures, and will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff. Responsibilities include anticipating supplies, reporting events, and participating in quality improvement activities. This role requires a High School diploma, BLS certification, and graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Salary range is $86,936.43 - $114,327.36 annually.
Qualifications
Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required.
Certification required upon hire.
One–two years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
Responsibilities
Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room.
Anticipate and gather needed supplies prior to procedures.
Report unexpected events to RN staff/leadership.
Assist on procedures as a secondary circulator.
Skills
Scrubbing on surgical procedures

Knowledge of instruments and equipment

Education
Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
