Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to provide direct and indirect operative support, preparing sterile fields, and assisting surgeons across a range of procedures. The role involves scrubbing, running Mayo, mentoring peers, and ensuring efficient case turnover.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup
• Scrub and run Mayo for diverse case types
• Precept and mentor staff and students in planning for surgical events
• Maintain sterile field, ensure appropriate instruments and supplies are available
• Collaborate with surgeons and adapt techniques to cases
• Contribute to intraoperative planning and case turnover
• Communicate clearly with team and maintain patient privacy
