Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons during operative procedures in a busy OR. You will prep sterile fields, assist the team, and ensure instruments and supplies are ready for diverse cases.

New grads are welcome. An Associate’s degree or Surgical Technology certificate is required, and BLS must be obtained within 30 days. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Education: Associate’s degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• Work Experience: Accepts New Grads.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures that’s timely, accurate, effective and efficient.
• Set up sterile field and is scrubbed prior to patient entering the room.
• Set up case so that another can step into an organized back table and mayo.
• Precept surgical techs and RNs to prepare for surgeon-specific procedures.
• Performs case closing activities such as dressing application, transfer and turnover.
• Teach RNs to scrub on a variety of cases.
