Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a surgical technologist to provide direct and indirect care, assist surgeons and mentor peers. The role includes prepping for operative procedures, maintaining sterile fields and running mayo/back table as needed.

Qualifications include BLS certification within 30 days and an associate's degree or certificate in surgical technology. New grads are welcome to apply and a sign-on/relocation bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Associate's degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• New grads accepted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub before patient entry.
• Run mayo table and back table in organized fashion; prepare for case needs.
• Collaborate with surgeon and precept staff for case planning.
• Teach RNs and scrub on multiple cases; support intra-op events.
