Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support direct and indirect care, assist surgeons, and mentor staff. The role emphasizes preparation for varied operative cases, running mayo, and maintaining a calm, efficient intraoperative environment.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology and BLS certification within 30 days. New grads are welcome to apply, with sign-on and relocation bonuses available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures with timely, accurate execution.
• Set up sterile field and scrub in prior to procedures.
• Ensure instruments and supplies are complete, functional and available as needed.
• Assist with case setup and back table organization for smooth transitions.
• Coach and mentor RNs and junior technologists; participate in turnover and case closing activities.
