Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons, prepare operative fields, and operate as a lead tech when needed. The role includes scrubbing for a range of procedures, mentoring peers and students, and effective intra-op support with on-call duties.

Qualifications include BLS within 30 days and an associate degree or surgical technology certificate. New grads welcome; sign-on and relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Education: Associate‘s degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• Work Experience: Accepts New Grads.

Responsibilities

• Preparation for surgeon specific operative/invasive procedures that’s timely, accurate, effective and efficient.
• Scrubs on simple to complex procedures for a variety of specialties.
• Plans, anticipates and provides for expected and unexpected intra-op events.
• Communicates and collaborates with others.
• Be available to be assigned on-call hours outside of schedule work-hours, including after-hours, weekends and holidays.
