Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York, NY is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the LOC 38th St OR daytime shift (37.5 hours). Under the supervision of the RN Circulator you will scrub on all surgical procedures and assist physicians in procedural areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification required upon hire.
• 1-2 years of OR experience preferred; NYU Surgical Tech Program graduate encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the OR under the direction of the RN Circulator.
• Assist the physician in procedural areas as a secondary circulator.
• Maintain and handle instruments, equipment and supplies; ensure proper instrument counts.
• Participate in regulatory, quality and safety initiatives and unit metrics.
• Provide on-call coverage where applicable.
