Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital at NYU Langone Health has an exciting opportunity for a Surgical Technologist to join our team for Day shift. The successful candidate will scrub on all surgical procedures in the operating room and assist the physician under the direction of a licensed professional nurse.

The role requires NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program graduation and certification upon hire, with BLS required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; Certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures and assist the physician.
• Prepare supplies and equipment per procedure card.
• Maintain knowledge of instrument care and equipment.
• Assist as secondary circulator under RN supervision.
• Report unexpected events to RN staff promptly.
• Provide on-call coverage when applicable.
