Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons, prep sterile fields, and support multiple specialties through first scrub and first assistant roles. You’ll train staff and peers, ensure instruments and supplies are ready, and respond quickly to intraoperative changes.

Candidates with an Associate’s degree or a Surgical Technology certificate and BLS certification (AHA) within 30 days are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Surgical Technology required.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA) required.
• New grads accepted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Set up sterile field and assist as scrubbed.
• Set up case to allow smooth back-table and mayo setup.
• Precept surgical techs and RNs as needed.
• Assist with intraoperative events and case turnover.
