Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub in prior to patient entry.
• Run mayo and organize back table for case turnover.
• Collaborate with surgical team and precept staff and students.
• Assist in first scrub, first assist and second scrub roles.
• Plan for intra-op events and adapt to surgeon preferences.
• Maintain patient privacy and support a positive team environment.

Basic Life Support (BLS)
