Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a surgical technologist to support direct and indirect patient care. Responsibilities include preparing for operative procedures, maintaining the sterile field, and assisting surgeons while mentoring peers as needed.

The role requires an Associate’s degree or certificate in Surgical Technology and BLS certification within 30 days. New grads are welcome to apply, with bonus opportunities and relocation support offered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate performance
• Set up sterile field and be scrubbed prior to incision
• Scrub and assist in multiple roles including first scrub and first assist
• Precept and mentor staff and students in planning for surgical events
• Anticipate intra-op events and provide appropriate interventions
• Communicate and collaborate to ensure instruments and equipment are available for cases
