Job summary

Baylor Medical Center Lake Pointe- Rowlett is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 to support the Operating Room team. The role operates under RN supervision, ensuring sterile technique, instrument readiness, and adherence to safety protocols in the Surgical Unit.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited program, BLS certification, and CST eligibility or certification. The position offers day shift, full-time hours, and comprehensive benefits with the system-wide support of Baylor Scott

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Current CST certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the sterile instrument table for each case.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and maintaining counts.
• Assist with draping, patient positioning, and setup of the OR.
• Adhere to infection control policies and regulatory standards.
