Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Specialty Clinic is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. This full-time role offers a starting hourly rate of $25.25, with additional incentives for eligible candidates and shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends.

You will assist surgeons, maintain sterile technique, coordinate care, and participate in all phases of perioperative care. Eligible employees can access substantial tuition assistance and a robust benefits package

Qualifications

• Current CST certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• Graduate from specialty surgical technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon with procedures across all ages during surgery.
• Coordinate treatments with other disciplines and prepare instruments.
• Maintain sterile technique and verify surgical site before incision.
• Maintain supplies, counts, and document specimens.
• Participate in admission, discharge, and on-call rotations.
• Perform billing as appropriate for services rendered.
• Act as a preceptor for students in the surgical unit.
