Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room in the Aurora St. Luke's South Shore department. You will assist in sterile preparation, instrument handling, and maintaining a safe, efficient environment for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities include setting up the room, passing instruments, draping, and assisting surgeons as needed. This full-time role includes on-call and varied shifts with commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.
• No prior experience required; training provided on-site.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification to be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides a clean, safe, and efficient area conducive to patient care.
• Utilizes aseptic techniques and assists in preparation and draping of the surgical field.
• Passes instruments, maintains a sterile field, and anticipates surgeon needs.
• Transports and positions patients and equipment as required; acts as Second Assistant when needed.
