The position requires advanced Surgical Technology training, Vitals when performing duties, and collaboration with surgeons to anticipate needs and flow of cases. A 40-hour work week with day shifts is typical.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of major operative surgical specialties.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as related to surgeries.
• Aseptic techniques in preparing materials, supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in preparatory steps of surgery and assists team.
• Ensures supplies are available and room is ready prior to incision.
• Maintains sterile field and assists with gowning, draping, and instrument handling.
• Sets up operating room equipment, checks functionality, and coordinates post-procedure cleanup.
• Trains Surgical Technologists and assistants as needed.
• Performs validated competencies under surgeon supervision.
