Job summary

Advocate Health in Aurora, CO is seeking an Orthopedic Surgical Technologist for full-time day shifts. You will prepare the operating room, assist surgeons, pass instruments, and maintain aseptic technique. On-call obligations apply for weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute arrival window.

The role requires completion of a Surgical Technology program, BLS certification within 6 months, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. No prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved Surgical Technology program.
• BLS certification within 6 months.
• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques used in operating rooms.
• Knowledge of equipment used in OR and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the sterile operating room and field.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies.
• Position and transport patients and equipment as needed.
• Notify staff of equipment and supply issues and ensure safety and cleanliness.
