Job summary

Trinity Health in St. Francis Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a full-time, day shift with 8-hour days and on-call coverage. You will assist nurses in planning surgical interventions, prepare instrumentation, and maintain asepsis throughout perioperative care.

The role requires completion of a School for Operating Room Technicians and prior hospital OR experience; Certified Surgical Technologist is highly preferred. Onsite parking and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Graduate of School for Operating Room Technicians required.
• Previous hospital or surgery-center experience required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents accurate patient information on perioperative records and specimen slips.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure patient well‑being.
• Maintain asepsis and proper handling of instruments and supplies.
• Prepare instrumentation according to physician's preference cards and scheduled procedures.
• Perform proper scrub and case cart preparation for sterilization and department policy.
• Assist in transporting patient post‑operative and support dressing application.
