Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. seeks a Surgical Technician to support operating room setup, equipment function, and team-based care. The role emphasizes sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient safety during procedures.

The ideal candidate holds NBSTSA CST certification, BLS, and 3–5 years of surgical tech experience, with proficiency in MS Office and EMR. Willingness to relocate to Iraq and obtain security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited surgical technician program or military equivalent (68D, HM8483, 4N1x1).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• NBSTSA CST certification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of recent Surgical Technician experience, including at least six months in the past year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by assembling instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Assist in patient positioning and maintain patient safety during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and infection control standards.
• Pass instruments to surgeon and team during operations.
• Monitor patient’s condition and communicate changes to the team.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment per protocols.
• Assist with post-operative care and recovery transitions.
• Document procedures and track supplies used.
• Ensure a safe, compliant working environment.
