Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. seeks a Surgical Technician (Scrub Tech) to prepare ORs, ensure equipment readiness, and assist the surgical team throughout procedures.

Strong communication and teamwork are required for excellent patient care in challenging environments. The ideal candidate has NBSTSA CST certification, BLS, 3–5 years of experience, and familiarity with EMR and MS Office; military-site experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA CST certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• 3–5 years as Surgical Technician, incl. at least 6 months in past year
• Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems
• Experience on a military site with government subcontractor or prime contractor preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room, instruments, and supplies.
• Assist in patient positioning and safety during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and infection control standards.
• Pass instruments to surgeon and team during operations.
• Monitor patient and alert team to changes.
• Sterilize instruments per protocols.
• Assist with post-op care and patient transfer to recovery.
• Document procedures and track supplies.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and comply with regulations.
• Participate in Mass Casualty exercises and client-specific compliance education.
