Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. seeks a Surgical Technician (Scrub Tech) to support surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, ensuring proper equipment functionality, and assisting the surgical team throughout procedures.

The ideal candidate has NBSTSA CST certification, BLS, 3–5 years of surgical tech experience, and proficiency with MS Office and EMR. Willingness to deploy and relocate to Iraq is required.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA CST certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 3–5 years recent experience as Surgical Technician.
• Proficiency with MS Office and EMR systems.
• Experience on a military site preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by assembling surgical instruments, equipment, and necessary supplies.
• Assist in patient positioning and ensure their safety during procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and infection control standards.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon and team during operations.
• Monitor patient condition and alert team to changes during procedures.
• Clean and sterilize instruments per protocols.
• Assist with post-operative care and transfers to recovery.
• Document procedures and track supplies used.
• Maintain a safe, compliant working environment.
• Participate in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
• Complete organizational compliance education for relevant certifications.
