Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technician (Scrub Tech) to support procedures by preparing the operating room, ensuring equipment functionality, and assisting the team throughout surgery.

The candidate should have a CST certification, BLS, 3–5 years of experience, and proficiency with EMR and MS Office; military site experience is preferred. Willingness to relocate to Iraq is required, with full-time benefits and compliance with Joint Commission

Qualifications

• CST certification offered by NBSTSA is required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 3–5 years recent experience as a Surgical Technician including at least six months out of the past year.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and EMR.
• Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by assembling surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist in the positioning of patients and ensuring their safety during surgical procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure infection control standards are met.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and surgical team during operations.
• Monitor the patient’s condition and alert the surgical team to any changes.
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment per protocols.
• Assist with post-operative care and transfer to recovery areas.
• Document procedures and maintain records of supplies used.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with regulations.
• Participate in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
