Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. seeks a Surgical Technician to support operations in demanding environments.

You will prepare the operating room, ensure instrument readiness, and assist the surgical team throughout procedures to maintain patient safety and procedural efficiency. Ideal candidates bring CST certification, BLS, and 3–5 years of surgical tech experience, including military site exposure.

Qualifications

• The CST certification NBSTSA is required.
• Current BLS Certification is required.
• 3–5 years recent experience as a Surgical Technician, including six months in the past year.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Experience on a military site as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by assembling instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist in patient positioning and safety during procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and infection control standards.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon and team during operations.
• Monitor patient condition and alert team to changes.
• Sterilize instruments and equipment per protocols.
• Assist with post-operative care and patient transfer to recovery.
• Document procedures and track supplies used.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and comply with regulations.
• Participate in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
• Complete organizational compliance education for client specifications and certifications.
