Job summary

Qualifications

• NBSTSA CST certification required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 3–5 years recent Surgical Technician experience, including six months in the past year.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Experience on a military site as government subcontractor or prime contractor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by assembling surgical instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Assist in patient positioning and safety during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and infection control standards.
• Pass instruments to surgeon and team during operations.
• Monitor patient condition and alert team to changes.
• Clean and sterilize instruments per protocols.
• Assist with post-operative care and patient transfers to recovery.
• Document procedures and track supplies used.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with regulations.
• Participate in Mass Casualty exercises and client-specific compliance education.
