Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for a 20-hour-per-week day shift. The role involves intra-operative patient care, assisting the circulating nurse, and supporting a fast-paced operating room environment within a Level 1 Trauma Hospital with 22 ORs.

Responsibilities include instrument handling, aseptic technique, instrument counts, and participation in quality initiatives.

Competenze

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program.
• New hires must obtain certification within one month of hire.
• Experience of greater than one year preferred.

Mansioni

• Set up for procedures with proper instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon at the sterile field.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team and provide instruments and supplies.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Assist with sponge, sharps and instrument counts per policy.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Contribute to turnover and on-time start goals with the team.
• Be on-call for specified nights, weekends, and holidays.
