Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Burlington, MA is seeking an Experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for a 20-hour-per-week day shift with a rotating schedule and on-call requirements. The ST will assist the surgical team, pass instruments, maintain sterile technique, and participate in quality and safety initiatives while precepting staff and students.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification preferred; must obtain within one month of hire.
• Greater than one year of experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment and adapt to rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up for procedures with proper instrumentation and supplies.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon at the sterile field.
• Anticipate team needs and provide required instruments quickly.
• Maintain sterility and instrument counts with the circulating nurse.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Be available for on-call nights, weekends or holidays.
