Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical training in Surgical Technology is required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential (or competing path) required or obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a tightly integrated team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare OR with instruments, supplies, and equipment for each procedure.
• Assist surgeon and perioperative team during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sterile field throughout operations.
• Handle specimens, meds, counts, and instrument care per policy.
• Follow sterilization and decontamination protocols; ensure safety in equipment use.
• Communicate clearly with staff and respond calmly in emergencies.
• Adhere to departmental guidelines and legal job responsibilities.
