Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a full-time position in the Pineville Surgery Room. The role requires day shifts with night/weekend call, 36 hours per week, and salary range $25.30–$37.95 per hour.

You will support aseptic technique, assist with supplies, and collaborate with the RN circulator. Qualifications include a surgical technology credential and BLS; 2 years OR experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training; 2 years OR experience in a surgical technologist role.
• Current NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred.
• Meets qualifications of ST II in Surgical Tech Ladder.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique and applies it during procedures.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments.
• Assists RN circulator in patient preparation and room turnover.
• Performs duties per department policy and procedure.
• Monitors sterility of supplies and documents charges.
• Documents sterilization activities.
• Attends in-services and participates in Performance Improvement processes.
• Pursues education to increase competency and meet personal goals.
• Assists in policy development and standards.
• May serve as a preceptor and clinical resource.
• Assists in unit clinical projects as needed.
