Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist I for the 70100 AHCMG Surgery Center. The role supports a 40-hour work week, with Monday–Friday shifts, flexible start times, and a sign-on bonus based on experience.

Duties include preparing sterile fields, assisting with a range of procedures, and ensuring patient safety and instrument readiness. Requirements include completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program and BLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs all types of procedures and maintains advanced knowledge of procedures.
• Sets up and operates equipment per physician specifications for surgeries.
• Maintains and checks the specialty cart and instruments for sterility and readiness.
• Assists in maintaining a sterile field and proper patient positioning.
• Participates in call coverage after orientation and attends department meetings.
