Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the sterile field and assist the RN circulator during procedures at Atrium Health University City - Surgery Room.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, BLS, and completion of a Surgical Technology program or military OR training, with 2 years OR experience preferred and possible ST II certification. Schedule varies with call; 40 hours/week; sign-on bonus eligible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program or successful military OR training.
• 2 years operating room experience in surgical technologist role preferred.
• Surgical Tech Ladder ST II certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and its application.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments during surgical procedures.
• Assists RN circulator in patient prep, assembly of supplies, equipment, and specimen handling; supports room turnover.
• Performs duties according to department policy and procedure.
• Monitors sterility and documents charges accurately.
