Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic technique and its application in the OR.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent military training.
• 2 years of operating room experience in a surgical technologist role.

Responsibilities

• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments for procedures and room turnover.
• Supports the Registered Nurse circulator in patient prep and setup of equipment.
• Monitors sterility of supplies and documents charges accurately.
• Assists in maintaining department policies and participates in performance improvement activities.
• May serve as a preceptor and clinical resource to others.
• Contributes to unit clinical projects as needed.
