Job summary

Jefferson Einstein Montgomery is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for part-time days in the Labor & Delivery unit. You will join the intraoperative team to help maintain a sterile field and support the surgeon throughout procedures.

The role requires CST/TS-C credentials, a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and the ability to lift 40-50 lbs. You will precept others and contribute to safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; surgical tech program graduate preferred.
• BLS certification and CST/TS-C credentials preferred or required per site.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient populations and team members.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and assist patients and families with respect and cultural sensitivity.
• Inspect OR for cleanliness, set up equipment, and prepare sterile field.
• Participate in team time-out and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Assist with gowning/gloving and draping; maintain sterile field integrity.
• Provide thorough hand-off reports to relief personnel and monitor instrument counts.
• Support decontamination, instrument prep for sterilization, and maintain unit supplies.
