Job summary

Jefferson Einstein Montgomery is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for per diem daytime coverage. The role focuses on intraoperative support, sterile field maintenance, and teamwork within the operating room in East Norriton, PA.

The CST assists with gowning/gloving, instrument preparation, and patient safety throughout the perioperative process. The ideal candidate is a graduate of a surgical technician program with BLS certification, strong attention to detail, and excellent

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of a surgical technician training program.
• Knowledge of effective communication with patients, families and care partners.
• Understanding of accuracy, attention to detail, and safety in the operating room.
• Knowledge of surgical assistance techniques and operating room efficiency.
• Familiarity with industry standards and handling of sterile techniques.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the sterile field for procedures.
• Assist with gowning and gloving of the surgical team.
• Count sharps, sponges and instruments with the circulating nurse.
• Precept other surgical team members as needed.
• Prepare instruments and maintain sterile field integrity during operations.
