Jefferson Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician for the Short Procedure Unit at Einstein Montgomery. The role focuses on maintaining a sterile field, assisting the surgical team, and supporting decontamination and sterile supply areas within the perioperative setting.

The CST participates in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, provides accurate handoffs, and helps ensure patient safety and efficient unit operations.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a surgical technician training program.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and patient safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain sterile field and prepare OR equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures.
• Assist surgical team with gowning/gloving and draping.
• Provide thorough intraoperative reports and ensure smooth transitions between staff.
• Counts of sharps, sponges, and instruments with circulating nurse; correct any discrepancies.
• Precept and mentor other perioperative staff as needed.
