Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician for the Einstein campus to support the cardiac team on a 40-hour, day-shift schedule. The role focuses on maintaining sterile technique, assisting the surgical team intraoperatively and precepting others as needed.

The CST/TS-C credential is required, with prior cardiac experience preferred. The position emphasizes patient- and family-centered care and collaboration within the perioperative team at Albert Einstein Medical Center

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Graduated from an accredited surgical technician program.
• CST and TS-C certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and assist intraoperatively.
• Prepare OR equipment, instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Assist with gowning/gloving and draping; report status to relief staff.
• Count sharps, sponges, and instruments per policy and ensure sterilization.
• Precept other team members as needed and support perioperative care.
