Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking an OR Technician (CTOR) to assist in the Operating Room team. The role collaborates with perioperative staff to organize and deliver age-appropriate patient care during the perioperative period.

The position is full-time, day shift, on-site in Newark, NJ, with a 37.5-hour work week and hourly pay range of $34.80–$42.88. Certification as a Surgical Technologist and BLS are required, along with orientation completion.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS required (American Heart Association)
• Successful completion of all Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.
• Ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative.
• In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients.
