Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking an OR Technician CTOR to join the Operating Room team. You will collaborate with perioperative nurses to organize and deliver age-appropriate patient care in the surgical suite and perioperative areas.

The role requires certification as a Surgical Technologist and active BLS; orientation and departmental programs must be completed. The position offers day shifts, a 37.5-hour work week, and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS required (American Heart Association)
• Successful completion of all Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.
• Ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative.
• In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients.
• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensurepatients' physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.
