Job summary

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking an OR Technician (CTOR) for Day shift in the Operating Room. The role collaborates with perioperative staff to organize and deliver age-appropriate patient care during surgical procedures.

Candidates must be a certified Surgical Technologist with current BLS certification and complete department orientation. 37.5 hours per week, with an hourly wage range of $34.80–$42.88 in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS required (American Heart Association).
• Successful completion of Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.
• Ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.
• Collaborate with the perioperative RN to organize and administer age-specific care to patients.
• Support the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and efficient surgical flow.
