RWJBarnabas Health in Newark is seeking an OR Technician CTOR to join the Operating Room team. You will support the perioperative team, help organize patient care and ensure safe, age-appropriate procedures during the surgical experience.

The role is full-time, day shift, 37.5 hours per week, with competitive hourly compensation and comprehensive benefits. Certification as a Surgical Technologist and current BLS are required to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS required (American Heart Association)
• Successful completion of all Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.
• Ensure patient physiologic responses to surgery are as expected.
• In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients.
• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensure patients' physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.
