Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operative teams in the operating room. You will prepare and maintain sterile instruments, assist with draping and positioning, and ensure the safe, efficient flow of cases under RN supervision.

The role requires accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to infection control standards as part of our surgical services. Eligible candidates should have a CST credential and be prepared for continuous training and strict operating room

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certified as CST by NBSTSA or NCCT.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in a health care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operative site by aseptically cleaning and clipping patient.
• Maintain instrument table and ensure proper setup for each procedure.
• Assist with draping, positioning, and passing sterile supplies to surgeons.
• Identify damaged or incomplete trays and rectify discrepancies.
• Disassemble instruments and decontaminate equipment after procedures.
• Follow infection control policies and regulatory standards throughout surgery.
