Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist II for the Round Rock Medical Center. This role supports the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring equipment readiness during procedures.

The ideal candidate applies infection control standards, collaborates with surgeons and nurses, and participates in draping, positioning, and specimen handling to ensure patient safety and efficiency in the operating room.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technologist program.
• Current CST certification or eligibility as per NBSTSA/NCCT.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Scrub into surgery and prepare instruments.
• Prepare and maintain instrument tables and trays.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment during procedures.
• Assist with draping, positioning, and specimen handling.
