Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 to support the operating room team under RN supervision. You will assist with instrument preparation, maintain sterile conditions, and help position patients while ensuring instrument counts and specimen handling follow established protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Less than 1 year of experience in surgical technology.
• Certification/licensing: BLS and CST.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and sterilization standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the operating room and instruments for surgery.
• Ensure sterile setup and instrument counts are accurate.
• Maintain proper draping, positioning, and specimens handling.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and provide sterile supplies as required.
• Follow infection control policies and regulatory guidelines to ensure patient safety.
