Academic Medical Group Inc in Tampa, FL seeks a Surgical Services Coordinator for USFTGP Otolaryngology to manage clinical and surgical encounters, coordinate referrals, authorizations, pre‑op requirements, and scheduling.

You will serve as the primary administrative contact, optimize provider schedules, work with Medical Assistants, and ensure safe, efficient patient experiences from pre‑op to post‑op.

Formación

• Experience with clinic and surgical scheduling workflows and authorization processes.
• Knowledge of referrals, co-pays, co-insurance, and pre-authorization requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with patients and care teams.
• Proficiency with EHRs, scheduling systems, and standard office software.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate clinical appointments, referrals, and pre-visit activities for clinic and surgical encounters.
• Serve as the primary administrative contact for patients and care teams.
• Manage provider clinic schedules, template adjustments, cancellations, and appointment types/lengths.
• Collaborate with Medical Assistants to schedule clinic visits and surgeries.
• Work with Revenue Cycle Operations to obtain authorizations and inform patients about costs.
• Coordinate all surgical services activities from scheduling to post-op follow-up.
• Complete and track pre-operative orders, labs, imaging, and consults.
• Monitor operating room blocks to maximize surgical volume.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and documentation in scheduling systems.
