Job summary

Florida ENT Associates is seeking a Surgery Coordinator to oversee all aspects of surgical procedures, coordinating with physicians, staff and patients to ensure timely, safe operations and comprehensive support throughout the surgical process.

You will handle scheduling, pre-operative assessments, patient communication, physician liaison duties, resource management, documentation, insurance verification, and patient advocacy, ensuring compliance and high-quality care in a fast-paced ENT setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare coordination, preferably in a surgical or ENT setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, surgical procedures, and healthcare practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with EMR systems.
• Certification or training in medical assisting, healthcare administration, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical scheduling, pre-operative assessments, clearances, and follow-ups.
• Serve as primary patient contact with clear, compassionate communication.
• Collaborate with ENT physicians and healthcare staff to plan patient care.
• Arrange operating room availability and equipment as needed.
• Maintain compliant patient records and ensure data confidentiality.
• Assist patients with insurance verification, pre-authorization for procedures, and financial counseling.
• Advocate for patients throughout the surgical process.
