Job summary

Florida ENT Associates is seeking a Surgery Coordinator to oversee all aspects of surgical procedures for our patients. You will work closely with physicians, medical staff, and patients to ensure surgeries are scheduled, prepared for, and conducted smoothly, with comprehensive support throughout the process.

Key duties include surgical planning, patient communication, physician liaison, resource management, documentation, insurance and financial assistance, and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating healthcare or surgical processes.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with patients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of surgical procedures, including scheduling surgery dates, pre-operative assessments, obtaining clearances, and arranging post-operative follow-up.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients undergoing surgery, providing clear, compassionate communication.
• Collaborate with ENT physicians and healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Coordinate with hospital staff to secure operating room availability and required equipment.
• Maintain accurate schedules and documentation in EMR, ensuring data confidentiality.
• Assist patients with insurance verification, pre-authorization, and financial counseling as needed.
• Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences throughout the surgical process.
